One Animal Crossing: New Horizons player shares an incredibly detailed recreation of the Mario Kart 8 Animal Crossing-themed course.

p>Animal Crossing: New Horizons players have been recreating existing buildings, characters, items, and scenery from other franchises since the game came out. However, with the launch of the Happy Home Paradise DLC, gamers have been able to make these tributes to their favorite series bigger and better than ever. One Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has even managed to recreate the entire Animal Crossing-themed circuit from Mario Kart 8 on their island.

Reportedly, Mario Kart 8 is currently the best-selling racing game ever made, so it may be easy to see why gamers would want to recreate its iconic courses. Fans may find the decision to build a version of the Animal Crossing-themed circuit inside an Animal Crossing game very fitting. Although the choice of medium has its limitations, watching the villager run around the track on foot is a very engaging sight.

Twitter user PishPawshART shared a short video of herself exploring the island which highlighted some of what the course had to offer. In the video, she runs down a path, crosses the iconic black and white checkered goalposts, and then zooms off down a gorgeously recreated Mario Kart 8 course. As she is running on foot rather than riding in a car, the video moves a bit slower than the average Mario Kart match. However, there are plenty of coins for her to collect and her trek leads her to pass several stationary cars on the way.

The course also features boost pads, a Mario Kart 8 flag, plenty of twists and turns, and even an appearance by Mr. Resetti in figurine form. The coastal areas are lined with shells and there are TV cameras set up to capture the supposed race. The result is an experience that may help tide gamers over until Mario Kart 9 is announced. According to PishPawshART, she stumbled across the island by accident after going to a random Dream Address--a decision that definitely paid off for her.

Apparently, this Animal Crossing: New Horizons island is called Lamasery and the DA code is DA-8468-5893-3290. Interested gamers can visit Lamasery for themselves and run the course by using the Dream Address code. This isn't the first time Animal Crossing: New Horizons players have recreated an existing setting in the game, but it may be one of the largest and most detailed. If Nintendo added go-karts to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, gamers might even be able to race properly on the course.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now on the Nintendo Switch.
