Twitch streamer Vendetta is now showing his skill in Destiny 2 by single-handedly beating the Caretaker boss from the Witch Queen raid.

p>Destiny 2's raids are effectively the pinnacle of the game, and players flock to complete them and some of their specific encounters in various, significantly more challenging, ways just to have bragging rights. Since raids are always balanced around six-player fireteams and feature puzzles that can engage up to six people at a time, pulling off an encounter or a boss fight solo is a particularly noteworthy achievement.

Enter Vendetta, a popular Twitch Destiny 2 streamer who just managed to defeat the Vow of the Disciple's Caretaker boss all by himself. This includes completing all the numerous mechanics attached to this encounter, as well as killing the massive Darkness-wielding boss himself.

Anybody who's tried to play the game's Witch Queen DLC raid will know that symbols and callouts from Destiny 2's Vow of the Disciple are crucial for successful completions. This is because, with the Caretaker specifically, a team of players needs to run through a maze to find the symbols they need to interact with to open the boss up to take damage. At the same time, another team of players needs to keep the Caretaker busy by preventing him from rushing up the stairs too quickly, as doing so leads to an early wipe. Vendetta, however, did all of these things on his own.

The whole endeavor took Vendetta just under three hours, and it's not a thing anybody could do. Players that are just learning how to complete the Caretaker encounter in Destiny 2 will have no hope of matching Vendetta's skill and buildcrafting capabilities. But the most difficult thing of all had to be balancing several disparate puzzle mechanics at the same time.

Naturally, it's worth pointing out that the Caretaker is just one mid-raid boss featured in Vow of the Disciple and is not even the most difficult part of the raid. The vast majority of players should attempt to clear this raid with a full fireteam's worth of players, and looking at Destiny 2 Vow of the Disciple tips and tricks posted by experienced Guardians would be a great idea as well. Quite simply, this raid breaks a few molds as far as Destiny 2 raids go, especially with the final boss Rhulk.

Though reasonably challenging, Vow of the Disciple is not outright unfair, and practice will help just about anybody reach Vendetta's skill level in due time. Late in March, for example, a differently abled fireteam completed Witch Queen raid in Destiny 2 using visual cues instead of audio communication. Bungie makes a point of designing raids that are generally more mechanically lenient than it might seem at first, though this isn't really the case for solo boss attempts.

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
