Because there are five random perks on every weapon, Destiny 2 lends itself to being a great Wordle clone when it comes to guessing which traits go where, and that's precisely what a popular community website called light.gg did for April's Fools' Day. Because the website is often used by players to rate specific weapons and their possible rolls, light.gg uses this very system to give a hint of what the roll that has to be guessed is.
Following the success of the word game known as Wordle, many clones have surfaced that build on the mechanics of the original puzzle, with different gimmicks or possible strategies. Light.gg's version of Wordle, Rolldle, makes it so players have a specific weapon for which they should guess the five correct perks, and the gun comes with a rating that can help more experienced players understand what sort of traits they have to check. If a given trait is correctly guessed, Rolldle highlights it as the correct answer, whereas the incorrect choices are marked with either an upwards arrow or a downward arrow.
The arrow's direction is a hint to how popular the correct perk is: upwards arrows mean that the trait players should guess is more popular than the one they selected before, whereas downward arrows mean that the perk is less popular than the one players guessed. As such, Rolldle is a fun little game to play to learn what the best weapon rolls in Destiny 2 are, at least according to the community.
Speaking of perks, Destiny 2's recent nerfs to Firmly Planted on fusion rifles and that to the Suppressing Glaive mod will likely affect the overall rankings of some weapons on light.gg. This could eventually change the hints provided by Rolldle if the game stays for the long run, but in the meantime, it's a fun alternative to Wordle for Destiny 2 fans.
Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
