A new Crackdown 3 gameplay trailer at E3 2017 confirms the game will release alongside the Xbox One X and also stars a cameo from the actor Terry Crews.

p>Microsoft's E3 2017 press conference came with fresh Crackdown 3 gameplay. It also came with a surprise cameo from Brooklyn Nine-Nine star (and PC gaming enthusiast) Terry Crews.

The new Crackdown 3 gameplay trailer introduced Crews as a character called Commander Jaxon. Very little is known about the actor's character at the moment but Jaxon is loud, brash and very enthusiastic about welcoming players to The Agency, the peacekeeping force from the other two Crackdown games. "Today, you throw grenades [but] tomorrow, you'll be throwing cars! Forget dropping bombs, you're dropping buildings!" yells the actor, who also encourages players to "step up [their] boom."

It's currently unclear whether Crackdown 3's destructible buildings will still benefit from cloud technology. Microsoft previously hyped up the feature and also suggested that it would only be available in multiplayer. The new trailer does not make any explicit mention of this feature and since Crackdown 3 has been delayed already, it's possible that the development team opted to nix the ambitious idea to go for something a bit simpler.

This would not be a total loss as buildings can still be blown to bits. There's still a huge emphasis on that; it just may not work as Microsoft and the development team initially announced.

Fans of the upcoming Windows PC and Xbox One game then get to see that bombastic action for themselves. Several versions of the player character can be seen gunning down enemies with assault rifles and rocket launches, slamming bad guys into the ground and causing plenty of explosions all in the name of justice. Jet packs, giant robots, and car-throwing (and gathering) are also included, because subtlety is not Crackdown 3's strong suit.

The new trailer also came with a confirmation of the Crackdown 3 release date. The game will be available on November 7, 2017, which is the same date as the Xbox One X, which is the incredibly powerful console formerly known as Xbox Project Scorpio.

Developer Reagent Games has previously stated that Crackdown 3 will have Xbox One X improvements, including a 4K resolution. That wasn't discussed much during the announcement. However, given the amount of times that Microsoft has said '4K' during the press conference, fans can expect plenty of talk on how Crackdown 3 benefits from its Xbox One X support in the coming months.

Crackdown 3 will be released on November 7, 2017 on Windows 10 PC and Xbox One.
