Former Infinity Ward developer Robert Bowling appears to tease Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 with several videos and a meme image he has posted on Twitter.

p>Former Infinity Ward developer Robert Bowling may be teasing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Bowling, who was the creative strategist at the studio for nearly six years, has posted some tweets that have fans of the shooter franchise talking.

On Twitter, Bowling posted two videos about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 character Ghost set to a soundtrack of "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails. One of the videos is captioned with "I will let you down I will make you hurt" as well as "10.8.19" or October 8, 2019, which could be Modern Warfare 4's release date. Before these tweets, Bowling had posted about new strategy game John Wick Hex, as well as EA's plans for E3 2019. The tweets about the Call of Duty character seemed to come out of nowhere, which is what caused the speculation.

However, the biggest hint that Bowling has returned to work on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 came from a meme tweet about his sleeping habits. Bowling joked that at 10PM he suggests getting some sleep, but at 2AM he is still awake. The tweet features an image of Bowling wearing a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare t-shirt, with the number next to the Modern Warfare logo being blurred out. When a fan asked Bowling where the three had gone from the logo, Bowling said that "it was there be four [sic]."

In the photo, Bowling stands in front of some sort of production. The production in the photo may be part of the announcement plans for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Call of Duty publisher Activision has said that the next game in the series would be revealed before the end of June but with Bowling's photo, some are speculating that the reveal could be this week.

Bowling, who works with EA as a creative consultant, has teased Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 before. Three months ago, the former Infinity Ward developer told a fan on Twitter that they would be a getting a "Modern" shooter this year. That tweet may not have been noticed as much as the Ghost fan videos, but it seemed to confirm that Bowling knows what Infinity Ward is working on or is somehow part of the development.

There have been other teases about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, too. NFL players who apparently had the chance to play Modern Warfare 4 ahead of release seemed to leak the game, and there have been many rumors about the game and its gameplay features.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has yet to be officially announced.
