After years, it would be understandable to assume that everything that can be found in Minecraft has been, but there are still tricks surfacing.

p>When it was released more than a decade ago, it would have been near impossible to predict just how much of a gaming behemoth Minecraft would become, with its popularity still high to this day. As one of the highest grossing video games of the last ten years, the open-world sandbox title has had a huge impact on the industry, with the studio continuing to pump out new updates and new content. With that in mind, many would think there's nothing left to discover, but there are still plenty of hints and tips that are finding their way into public knowledge.

In a recent video uploaded to YouTube, at the 7:15 mark, the Skip the Tutorial channel has identified yet more "hacks" which give players even more things to check out in this already enormous world. In this case, one of the tricks is related to one of the many potions of Minecraft, specifically the swiftness potion. According to the video, by drinking this concoction, increasing the FOV, and then increasing the view again in the options to Quake Pro, there's the potential to have rudimentary x-ray powers.

With the player in third-person and the field of view now incredibly high, the camera can be moved around to such an extent that, if pressed up against a wall, it's possible to see through to the other side. This can be handy if looking around in caves for openings or finding any hidden items. It's just a neat little trick that utilizes a common item and some jigging of the options to enable x-ray vision in Minecraft. There's also a way to make the potion, and therefore this newfound power, last longer using a beacon.

Minecraft already has a lot of longevity, which is one of the reasons why the game is as popular as it is and has been for years, so these secrets being uncovered only increase the replay value of it. The YouTube channel in question has a lot more hints and tips for anyone who's looking for new discoveries in the sandbox title.

As for the game itself, it doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon in terms of its fan base and overall popularity. Selling hundreds of millions of copies and having millions of players, as well as being one of the best games to induce mindfulness, just shy of Skyrim, it's hard to imagine that there may come a day when people will stop playing Minecraft all together. But that will evidently be a long time from now.

Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
