Moon Knight makes an impressive debut for Disney Plus, tying with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier for a solid MCU series record.

p>Marvel Studios continues to prove that it's in competition with itself and only itself. Moon Knight debuted on Disney Plus with the second-best premiere for an MCU show on the streamer.

Moon Knight is a very popular character amongst comic book fans, but as far as the masses are concerned, there's a lot to be caught up on. Fortunately, it seems with the Marvel Studios series debut that many are more than willing to learn about this character. Oscar Isaac plays the titular character in a very stellar performance by being able to embody each personality in an effective and believable manner.

According to Samba TV, the premiere of Moon Knight drew in 1.8 million household views, which ties with Falcon and the Winter Soldier's first episode. Both shows fall short of besting Marvel Studios' own Loki, which debuted with 2.5 million household views. WandaVision is not too far behind Moon Knight with 1.6 million viewers tuning in for its debut, while Hawkeye earned 1.5 million viewers upon its premiere. It may be worth noting that Samba TV's figures are far from official, as they only collect data from 3 million households.

Moon Knight is worth watching for those looking for a way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as it will be serving as a character study as opposed to a big blockbuster spectacle. The series doesn't rely on past MCU knowledge, so it'll be easy to follow, and for many people, this is the daunting task of getting into Marvel. There are a lot of films to watch, and for many, that's all it takes to not get on board. Some fans only watch the films that catch their eyes, while others want to see everything from the beginning.

Fortunately, all the films are all in one place, and they take their time with releases, so fans generally have time to catch up on everything they missed. Most of the films also rely mainly on their own story during the earlier phases, but the upcoming Doctor Strange 2 looks to be connecting a lot of movies together for what's expected to be a big spectacle.

Moon Knight is currently streaming on Disney Plus.
