One talented Pokemon fan decides to make an original animation showcasing the Sinnoh region starters, including Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.

p>Over the years, one of the main objectives in Pokemon games has been to complete the Pokedex by collecting all the Pokemon in a given region. While this is no small task considering that these titles often contain hundreds of Pokemon to catch and train, players start by choosing one starter Pokemon. Among the different regions, Sinnoh is a place that has a group of well-known starters.

As the fourth region introduced in the Pokemon series, Sinnoh has 3 different starter Pokemon. The first of these is Turtwig, a Grass-type Pokemon that looks like a turtle with a leaflet sprouting from its head. The second is Chimchar, a Fire-type Pokemon that resembles a primate and has a flaming tail. And the third is Piplup, a Water-type Pokemon that looks like a Penguin due to its beak and short wings. Recently, one player made a unique piece of art based on these classic Pokemon.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as gatekid3 shared a video showcasing a brief animation they made. What made this clip stand out from the Reddit user was that they decided to create a custom animation using the Sinnoh region starter Pokemon. In addition, they chose an impressive pixel art style that gave the characters a nostalgic look.

The video starts with the camera centered on a closed Nintendo DS. Suddenly, it springs to life with the top magically opening. On the bottom screen of the handheld is a trio of Pokeballs. After a brief moment, a stylus appears and taps the screen. All at once, the Pokeballs opened up, revealing Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. Just as quickly as the animation starts, it comes to a close when the top of the Nintendo DS slammed shut.

Since posting this impressive animation of the Sinnoh region starters on Reddit, numerous members of the Pokemon community weighed in. With over 8.8K upvotes in less than a day, many enjoyed this nostalgic take on the starter Pokemon. “The animation is really good! Brought back memories,” GeraldoofRivia said on Reddit. In addition, some commented how these were several of their favorite starters in the series. However, many gamers were split regarding which Sinnoh starter was the best.

This is just one of many creations made by talented Pokemon fans over the last couple of weeks. Besides this Sinnoh region starters animation, another gamer recently decided to make a portrait of Gengar using thread and nails. It will be interesting to see what other works of art are shared with the community in the coming days. Perhaps, gatekid3 will choose to make animations for other starter Pokemon in the series.
