Designer XboxPope on Twitter crafts an incredible Batman-themed concept for the upcoming PlayStation 5, catching many players' eyes.

p>Since the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman has become a prominent figure and inspiration in the gaming industry. With the rumors of an upcoming Batman game from WB Games Montreal appearing at DC Fandome, excitement for the Caped Crusader is at an all-time high, with some enthusiasts making incredible fan art. One fan has taken that zeal to the next level with an amazing mockup of a Batman-themed PS5.

The PS5's unveiled design ditched the classic PlayStation grey and black aesthetics in favor of a bright white, which was met with a mixed reception. Since then, themed concepts for the upcoming PlayStation console have become quite prevalent in the artistic part of the gaming community. Unlike this Batman concept, however, these other designs have been primarily based on titles from this generation such as God of WarDragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and Ghost of Tsushima.

This unique Batman PS5 design comes, funnily enough, from Twitter user @XboxPope. They have crafted a multitude of eye-catching console concepts for other comic characters like Harley Quinn and Wolverine. They have even created viral video game designs based on upcoming games like Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.

The natural shape of the PS5 lends itself incredibly well to the Batman aesthetic, with the top of Batman's iconic cowl meeting up with the upper points of the console. The blue and green color palette and dot design exude almost a digital feeling as if it came straight out of the Batcave. XboxPope has even been kind enough to include a second version that does not feature the pattern on the DualSense controller's touchpad, for those who feel that the initial design is too much.

With this PS5 design making waves on social media, perhaps Sony should consider making a themed console based on The Dark Knight. It's no secret that the Batman: Arkham games are incredibly popular and profitable, with recent information coming to light that Batman: Arkham City has sold 12.5 million units since its release, raking in over $600 million.

While Rocksteady has taken a step away from the Batman: Arkham series in favor of a new game based on the Suicide Squad, the lasting impact of the caped crusader has certainly been felt in the gaming industry. And while fans eagerly await more details surrounding WB Games Montreal's new Batman game at DC Fandome later this month, it's clear that it has some big bat-boots to fill.
