Developer Rockstar Games hints at what new illegal actions Red Dead Online players can expect from the game's upcoming Summer update.

p>Red Dead Online has received a lot of content updates that have brought new jobs, clothes, and content to the multiplayer mode. Now, developer Rockstar Games has given players their first hint at what is coming next for Red Dead Online.

Previous gameplay additions for Red Dead Online have focused on adding new jobs and roles for players to step into, like allowing players to brew their own moonshine. However, many Red Dead Online players have many improvements that they are hoping Rockstar will add to the game. The new update looks like it will answer one of these requests, which is to give players more to do in the game world.

The biggest addition from the game's summer update will allow players to rob camps and homesteads while free-roaming around Red Dead Online's open world. Details are scarce about what it will look like, but players are able to rob homesteads while playing single-player in Red Dead Redemption 2Red Dead Online's system will likely work similarly with players arriving at certain locations and finding clues that lead them to a chest or stockpile that they can loot for their troubles. Of course, robbing innocent civilians will likely impact characters through the game's morality system as well.

Rockstar Games' blog post revealing the update also teases some new features that will be part of the update, although it doesn't give many specifics. The post does say that players will also be able to rob camps, but how robbing the camps of other players' camps will work remains to be seen. The post also says that robbing homesteads will also offer other bonuses, but what those bonuses will be remains to be seen. Finally, the blog post says that players will not have to purchase anything to start doing it, unlike Red Dead Online's Moonshiner role that saw players having to purchase a shack to start.

While little is known about Red Dead Online's summer update, it sounds as though it will add a good amount of new content for players to test out and explore. Some players may not be happy that the update does not seem to include some of the community's more requested new features, like adding Mexico to Red Dead Online, but it is good to see Rockstar continuing to support the game. Hopefully, Rockstar will have some more details about the new update and future content coming for the game soon.

Red Dead Online is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
