A speedrunner beats the first 10 LEGO games in preparation for the release of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which will release in April.

p>The LEGO games have now been around for the better part of 17 years, which means the franchise has amassed a large number of games. The latest LEGO Star Wars game is set to release next month, and this seems to have prompted one player to speedrun the first 10 games in the series in preparation for it.

While there is not much competition in the LEGO speedrunning community, players have been busy breaking records from other games such as Elden Ring almost on a weekly basis. Fans were first impressed when players started beating the game in 2 hours and now speedrunners have been able to beat the game in just under 25 minutes.

In anticipation of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, a speedrunner known as Chimkin bested his previous record that was set last year at 21 hours and 15 minutes by completing the 10 games in 19 hours and 33 minutes. The list of games the speedrunner beat in order are:

  • LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game
  • LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues
  • LEGO Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy
  • LEGO Batman: The Video Game
  • LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7
  • LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game
  • LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4
  • LEGO Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
  • LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures

The inclusion of LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga in the run was a rather strange inclusion, as the game includes slightly a different version of the first 2 LEGO Star Wars games and LEGO Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars all of which he decided beat in the same run.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to include all of the content covered in previous LEGO Star Wars games, albeit, entirely remade. It seems as though TT Games included as many characters as possible in the game from all of these movies as well, as the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga character roster leaked online last week.

Unfortunately, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will not include character creation. Many fans feel that this is a missed opportunity, as the option to use customizable characters has been a big part of the LEGO series of games ever since it was first included.

In other news, a new LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga trailer released focusing entirely on the dark side. The trailer features villains from the entire Star Wars franchise and included a few spoof-like jokes customary of the LEGO franchise.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga releases April 5 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
