Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi Trailer Promises Origin Stories For Ahsoka and Count Dooku

A brand-new trailer just dropped for Tales of the Jedi, the upcoming Star Wars animated series, and honestly, it looks epic! This series is going to dive into the origin stories of two massive characters from the prequel era—Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku.

Star Wars fans will be excited to hear that Tales of the Jedi is being helmed by Dave Filoni (the guy behind The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian) and Charles Murray. Filoni actually came up with the idea while working on The Mandalorian, and the show was officially revealed earlier this year.

Right now, Disney’s D23 Expo is in full swing, and it’s packed with cool reveals. One of the highlights? The first trailer for Tales of the Jedi along with some juicy details about the series. The show’s split into two arcs: one follows Ahsoka as she trains to become a Jedi under Anakin Skywalker, while the other gives us a glimpse into Count Dooku’s descent into the Dark Side. Plus, we’ll get to see him training a young Qui-Gon Jinn—how cool is that?

Who are Ahsoka Tano?

For those who don’t know, Ahsoka Tano is a fan-favorite character who got her start in The Clone Wars animated series and then blew up even more after appearing in The Mandalorian. She’s even getting her own live-action show on Disney+ soon! And it’s not just Ahsoka and Dooku stealing the spotlight in Tales of the Jedi—we’re also going to see Star Wars legends like Mace Windu, Qui-Gon Jinn, Yoda, and Anakin Skywalker, along with some lesser-known characters like Yaddle (yep, another of Yoda’s species), Bail Organa, and even Ponda Baba from A New Hope!

They’re calling this an anthology series, but with only two stories so far, it makes you wonder if they’re planning to drop more Jedi stories in the future. We don’t know yet, but with Dave Filoni at the helm, it’s a good bet we might see more. He’s also the creator of The Bad Batch, another Star Wars animated spin-off, and its second season is dropping on September 28th.

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is set to premiere on Disney+ on October 26th, so get ready to dive into some serious Jedi lore!
