The Banshee is a tricky boss in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, requiring players to learn her attack patterns perfectly to avoid damage.

p>In Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, a first-person looter-shooter with RPG elements from Gearbox Software and 2K, and is a spinoff of the Borderlands franchise. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands features plenty of dangerous foes, among which is the dreadful Banshee. A terrifying undead creature (and one-time love of the Dragon Lord), the Banshee poses a major threat to players attempting to progress the main story once they reach her in the depths of the Weepwild Dankness. Protecting the heart of the forest, The Banshee is a deadly foe who uses her scream attack and various electrical projectiles to strike at the Fatemaker.

Finding the Banshee

The Banshee cannot be encountered until players have progressed through most of Chapter 4, near the end of the quest "Thy Bard, with a Vengeance." With Bardbarian Torgue as their ally, players will find themselves deep in the heart of the Weepwild Dankness on a quest to save the heart of the forest. Upon arriving, players will find the heart corrupted, and their path blocked by the Banshee.

Fighting the Banshee

The Banshee alternates between two different phases throughout the fight. In the first phase, she floats around the arena pelting the player with electrical spells hurled from behind her. These attacks are best avoided by sticking to the edges of the arena, using the tree roots and branches as cover, and staying on the move if there is no cover nearby. This is the phase when damaging her is easiest, since there are gaps in her attack patterns where she is easy to attack.

In her second attack phase, she flies to the far end of the arena and begins gathering energy for a scream. During this time a poisonous fog will enshroud the edges of the arena, forcing players into the center path, and her skull minions will start respawning. After charging, the Banshee will unleash horizontal scream attacks that fly down the center path, alternating randomly between high and low attacks. Players can watch the objects floating around her to see which attack she'll make next, as they rise above her head for high attacks and lower close to the ground for low attacks. Crouch to avoid the high attacks and jump over the low attacks to avoid damage during this phase.

Players should be wary of the Banshee's minions, as they bounce the player into the air when touched and can mess up the player's timing and ability to dodge the scream attacks. Keeping a few of her minions alive can be handy for reviving in Save Your Soul Mode. They also drop ammo and health potions when slain, so strategic use of them will greatly aid in this fight. After the first time entering phase 2, the Banshee will start filling the center path with poisonous gas during her first phase, necessitating a retreat to the arena outskirts during this time.

Slaying the banshee causes her to drop a large assortment of appropriately leveled loot along with a reasonably good chunk of EXP, making her useful for farming items, gold, and experience.
