p>The door in the mountains is at the center of Tunic's most-elaborate puzzle, and it is one that many players will be interested in solving. However, the process of unlocking the door in the mountains can feel quite daunting, and fans may find themselves stuck at several points. This guide will begin by providing a general approach that players can use to tackle this complex puzzle, and it will conclude with specific instructions on how to open Tunic's mountain door.

Tunic: How to Open the Door in the Mountains

General Approach

In order to open the door in the mountains, Tunic players must solve the puzzle that is on page 49 of the instruction manual. This puzzle is composed of 25 numbered squares, and a hint about the significance of those numbers can be found on page 22 of the manual. Once a player has resolved the meaning of each of the puzzle's 25 squares, they should stand in front of the door in the mountains and combine their solution with the actions detailed on pages 43 and 44 of the manual.

Golden Path Solution

The numbered squares on page 49 each point to a specific page in Tunic's instruction manual. There is a gold line hidden on each of those pages, except in a handful of instances that have been detailed below, and players are intended to translate those lines into the grid to form a contiguous path that starts at the bottom and ends in the center. This path is to be mimicked, using the d-pad or arrow keys, when standing in front of the door in the mountains to open it.

While players now have all the information that they need to solve the puzzle, actually translating the lines and mimicking the path with directional inputs can still be difficult. For those puzzle game fans that would like to bypass that process, the path, and specific information on where its lines come from, can be found below. Additionally, the directional inputs have been noted below the path, and entering them correctly will open the door in the mountains.

Note: The input that is associated with a line that is broken by a short perpendicular line is to be pressed twice.
