Streamer and content creator Asmongold raises nearly $400,000 for Ukraine while playing Elden Ring and Lost Ark for nine hours.

p>Charity streams are nothing new, but it is not often that a streamer can raise almost $400k in a single stream. However, that is exactly what popular Twitch streamer and content creator Asmongold achieved in the effort to help victims of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

The whopping sum of money was raised by donations from viewers during Asmongolds' charity stream on March 25th, 2022 in support of the humanitarian organization known as the Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere. The organization, which is known by the acronym CARE, has been heavily involved in helping the people of Ukraine since the invasion by Russia.

Asmongold streamed for over nine straight hours talking to viewers while playing Elden Ring and Lost Ark. The streamer managed to earn the CARE charity a huge total of $391,000, exceeding the targets he had set for the stream. This amount represents the largest sum of money that Asmongold has ever been able to raise during a charity stream.

At the end of the stream, the Twitch streamer said, "I did not expect that we were going to get anywhere near this. We took all of this money together." Speaking about his weapon level on Lost Ark and how the money could be used he jokingly continued, "I could almost get my weapon to +20 in Lost Ark, but unfortunately it's gonna go to a good cause. All of this money that we have raised today is going to be going towards CARE, so they can allocate those resources to people in need in Ukraine. Thank you all so much, thank you everybody for doing this and making this possible." Asmongold then took to Twitter to thank all of those who donated to the worthy cause and help those in need.

It wasn't just Asmongold that contributed to the charity. Fellow OTK member Nick "Nympol" Polom also raised over $130,000 in a charity stream of his own on March 16th, 2022, with the help of girlfriend Malena and another OTK member Emiru, taking the total raised by the gaming organization OTK to upwards of $500,000.

Asmongold was one of the founding members of the OTK organization back in 2020, OTK standing for One True King. The Organization contains a number of well-known streamers including Esfand, Rich Campbell, Tips Out, Tectone, Nympol and not forgetting Mizkif and Emiru.

The organization has a history of philanthropy. One True King has held several charity streams benefiting the non-profit organization Games for Love. Their first charity stream took place on November 23, 2020, raising over $250,000 through opening rare Pokemon cards. A second and third charity stream for Games for Love took place raising nearly a staggering $1.2 million combined.
