Twitter Gaming's Rishi Chadha recently revealed the most-tweeted games for Q1 of 2022 with games like Genshin Impact and Wordle topping the list.

p>For many in the gaming community, Twitter is one of the most preferred social media outlets for fans to talk about games with others in their communities. Between the massive popularity of online social games like Wordle and Genshin Impact and high-profile AAA games taking up much of the community's collective attention like the recently-released Elden Ring, Twitter is a popular outfit for gamers to share their opinions and progress through a variety of games. Twitter's gaming division regularly compiles the most talked-about games on the platform with the social media juggernaut recently revealing its rankings for the start of 2022.

This year's opening months saw plenty of trends within both the world of gaming and the internet at large and Twitter often finds itself at the center of many of gaming's most popular trends. The start of 2022 saw the explosion in popularity of the browser-based daily word game Wordle while games like Genshin Impact have featured plenty of new characters and Apex Legends kicked off its 12th competitive season. Q1 of 2022 saw these games and more flourish on the platform as Twitter Gaming's Rishi Chadha revealed the top 10 most-tweeted games on the platform.

Twitter's Top 10 for the first three months of the year saw many of the expected titles taking top spots. Genshin Impact continued to maintain its massive popularity on the platform by capturing the #1 spot while the surge of Wordle followed closely behind at #2. The previously-mentioned Apex Legends was not far behind landing at the #4 spot on the month. Other popular franchises like Final Fantasy and Minecraft also saw themselves finish within the Top 10 while Elden Ring, despite its massive success, only managed to secure a seventh-place finish.

The Twitter Gaming rankings also saw a heavy focus on Japanese mobile games with several popular titles finishing within the Top 10. Popular Japanese-only rhythm game Ensemble Stars finished in the #3 spot, just behind Genshin Impact and Wordle, while the Hatsune Miku and Vocaloid-based Project Sekai! Colorful Stage placed at #6 following the game's long-awaited English release in December. Long-running mobile RPG Fate/Grand Order also placed in the Top 10 most-Tweeted games finishing at eighth place.

As 2022 moves into its second quarter, there is already an abundance of titles for fans to look forward to through the Spring months across multiple platforms. April will see several high-profile releases for fans on the Switch with the highly-anticipated Chrono Cross remaster and Nintendo Switch Sports arriving during the month. May and June will also play host to several multi-platform releases like Evil Dead, Demon Slayer, and Vampire: The Masquerade. With major games like Saint's Row and Starfield set for later in the year, fans on Twitter should have plenty to talk about throughout 2022.
